Pre-nuptial and Other Financial Agreements for Married Couples
A pre-nuptial agreement is a contract between you and your partner. It usually covers what you both agree will happen financially during the marriage and if you separate.
While these agreements are often referred to as pre-nuptial agreements, this can be misleading. They can be made before your marriage, during your marriage or even after your marriage breaks down. In the Family Court jurisdiction they are called financial agreements. In order to be binding some strict rules need to be followed.
